This was a special year for us. The school was scheduled to reopen for the academic year 20-21 on 26th of March 2020. However the government declared lock down and the reopening couldn’t take place.
The management swung into action to reach out to the students. Teachers were instructed to collect whatapp numbers and make online groups for each class. We started online zoom classes from 9th of April 2020. This was much before the CBSE had come with any instruction with regard to the online classes.
We conducted several training program to equip the teachers with necessary skills for conducting of online classes. Our school was the first to start the interactive online classes for our students in Aurangabad. Since there was no other alternative system to continue the academic activities, the school took full responsibility to continue the teaching activities by relaying on zoom app. The response to the classes was rather good.
The text books had already been distributed from 11th of April. In April itself the result was announced and promotion had already been completed.
The CBSE instructed the school to continue with all possible curricular and co-curricular activities on line.
We had the following curricular activities:
Due to the prevalent pandemic situation, the academic year was dived into three terms. This was to ensure maximum interaction with the students. Each term had regular online classes, submission of copies for correction, submission of assignments and projects, online unit tests (written and oral) and online terminal examination.
Through online activities we were in touch with about 90% of our students.
In the first few months our focus was only on curricular activities. When the online classes were properly streamlined, we started the co-curricular activities as well.

The school introduced special software to conduct online classes, which also gives complete solutions to all the academic and administrative work.
The entire campus is brought under the surveillance of CCTV. Now we have a camera in each class room.
There was the usual fee hike for the year 20-21 also. However taking into consideration of the pandemic, the hike was withheld. Thus each student was given a concession of Rs. 3000.00 . Consequently the salary hike of the staff was also withheld.
The school is planning to introduce public addressing system for the entire campus. This, along with CCTV will help us better to monitor and control the activities of the school.
