Annual Report

Annual Report: 2022 – 2023

The school organized various cultural and co-cultural activities to facilitate the wholesome growth and development of each child. The report is as follows:

  1. The statue of St. Ignatius of Loyola was blessed by Rev. Fr. Donald Miranda, S.J., Provincial Superior, Patna Jesuit Province on 5th March, 2022. The statue was made by Mr. Gyani, the art teacher of the school.
  2. The new academic year 2022 - 2023 began on 1st April, 2022 with full strength.
  3. The theme for the new academic was "The Integral Freedom of India: God's Greater Glory".
  4. The school started LKG and UKG. 40 students for each class were taken.
  5. The Investiture Day was held on 1st April, 2022 where all the office bearers took oath and assumed their office for the Students Council.
  6. The school had its First competition on 22nd and 29th April 2022. It was Inter-House English Elocution Contest for the Primary and High students respectively.
  7. On 25th April, 2022 we had the Inter-House Hindi Elocution contest for Primary and High School students.
  8. The International Labour Day was celebrated by honouring the supporting staff during the assembly on 30th April. On 7th May, 2022 the school celebrated Mother's Day with special assembly.
  9. The First Unit Test was held from 9th - 13th May, 2022 and the school was closed for the summer vacation.
  10. The school was the examination center of CBSE. It got over on 24th May, 2022.
  11. The staff orientation was held on 16th and 17th June by Fr. Josey Mathias, S.J. on Jesuit teaching pedagogy.
  12. 2 new staff members, namely Mr. Masudan Kumar and Mr. Venkatesh Sharma joined the school.
  13. The students came to the school on 18th June, 2022 to submit their summer home-works, projects, assignments etc.
  14. The school reopened on 21st June, 2022 after the summer vacation with morning routine.
  15. International Day of Yoga was celebrated on 21st June, 2022.
  16. The Governing body meeting was held on 25th June, 2022.
  17. The school saw the transition period. Fr. Saji Mathew, S.J. handed over the mantle to Fr. Manish Julius Osta, S.J. as new Principal. Fr. Saji Mathew was given a fitting farewell during a special program organized for him. The performance of our class X students for the academic year 2021- 2022 was excellent. We got 100% result. Aarya Kashyap obtained 96.4% marks and stood first in the school. Almost 25 of them secured more than 90% in their examination. 39 students scored 89% of marks. 31 students obtained 79% of marks. 32 students obtained 69% of marks. 17 students 59% of marks and only 2 students obtained 49% of marks.
  18. On 7th July, 2022 a Covid vaccination camp was organized for the students of Std. VII to X.
  19. Mr. Serenus Dungdung and Ms. Aruna Kujur went to Patna to attend a workshop on De-Addiction from 8th to 10th July, 2022
  20. The Inter-House Quiz Competition was held on 9th July, 2022.
  21. The class timing was changed from 6.30 am to 7.00 am to 1.10 pm from 12th July, 2022 onwards.
  22. The Inter-House Declamation Competition was held on 16th July, 2022.
  23. The NEET -2022 was held at school on 17th July, 2022.
  24. The special assemblies in the honour of St. Ignatius of Loyola began on 22nd July, 2022.
  25. A special survey by Jesuit Education of South Asia was conducted on 26th July, 2022
  26. The Inter-House Singing Competition was held on 29th July, 2022. Nehru house stood first.
  27. The feast day of St. Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated with great vigor and enthusiasm on 30th July, 2022.
  28. The IInd Unit Test began on 2nd August, 2022.
  29. Patriotic week was celebrated with special assemblies prior to the 75th Independence Day.
  30. The 75th Independence Day was celebrated in the school and flag was hoisted by Fr. Vimal Kishore, S.J., the Secretary.
  31. Inter-House Football tournament was held on 30th August, 2022 and winner team was Azad house.
  32. Teachers' day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 5th September.
  33. The First Term Examination began on 6th September onwards.
  34. A Health and Hygiene program was held for the girl students on 17th September, 2022. It was taken by Ms. Louisa Bando, a nurse.
  35. A workshop for teachers of our school and 13 neighbouring schools was organized on 28th September, 2022 on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences. Fr. George Nedumattam was the resource person and almost 115 teachers participated in it
  36. Science and Social Science Exhibition was held on 1st October, 2022. Mr. Anup Shukla, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Aurangabad was the Chief-Guest along with 4 judges from Sinha College, Aurangabad.
  37. Fr. Albert Tirkey, S.J., coordinator of the out-reach program of the school was given farewell on 12th October, 2022
  38. Diya Decoration Competition was held on 15th October, 2022.
  39. The school celebrated Chatt and Deepwali celebration by holding a special assembly on 22nd October, 2022
  40. The school organized the "Appreciation Day: Academic Excellence Award Day" on 12th November, 2022. Mr. Vijayant, SDM, Aurangabad was the Chief-Guest.
  41. The Children's Day was celebrated on 14th November,2022 with Fancy Dress Competition. Ms. Sweeti Sehrawat IPS, SDPO, Aurangabad was the Chief-Guest.
  42. IIIrd Unit Test and Ist Pre-Board Examination began on 21st November, 2022.
  43. The Constitution Day was held on 26th November, 2023. Each student was given the copy of the Indian Preamble and it was recited during the assembly.
  44. The Annual Sport's Meet vibe was announced on 1st December, 2022 by Fr. John Ravi, S.J.
  45. The Annual Sports Meet was held on 11.12.2022. It was a splendid performance by the student's body. Thousands of Parents, Well-Wishers, Benefactors filled the school campus. Hnourable DM of Aurangabad was the Chief-Guest. Honourable SP of Aurangabad was the Guest of Honour. Fr. Oscar Beck, Principal, Creane Memorial School, Gaya was the Special Guest.
  46. Christmas gathering was organized for the staff and students on 22nd December, 2022. Inter-House Carol Competition was held to celebrate the day.
  47. The school remained closed for Christmas and winter vacation from 23rd December, 2022.
  48. The classes began for Std. IX and X from 4th January, 2023.
  49. The regular classes from LKG to Std. X began from 10th January, 2023.
  50. The Republic Day was celebrated on 26th January, 2023 with great patriotism.
  51. We held special assembly to mark the Martyr's Day on 3oth January, 2023.
  52. The admission process for LKG and Std. I began.
  53. The school was the Examination Centre for Bihar Board Intermediate and Matriculation Exams.
  54. The school was the center for CBSE Exams and it got over on 4th April, 2023.
  55. The farewell to Std. X was given on 17th February, 2023.
  56. The school conducted special English Spoken classes for Std. VI to VIII and regular classes for Std. IX and X.
  57. The Staff Picnic was held on 2nd March, 2023 to Bodhgaya.
  58. An orientation program for the staff members was conducted on 3rd March, 2023 by Dr. Punam Gupta, Teacher, St. Xavier's School, Patna.
  59. The academic year 2022 - 2023 came to an end with the annual examination and the Annual Result was declared.
  60. The students participated in various competitions organized by the District Administration and won many prizes.

Special Report:

Value education classes: The school gives special on emphasis on the formation of students. It is firmly believed that these values certainly help each one of us to become better human beings. These values especially emphasis on the Jesuit core values of competence, conscience, compassion and commitment. Besides these, the school organizes special curricular and co-curricular activities to promote the values enshrined in the Constitution of India.

Workshop by teachers: All the teaching staff members attended 25 hours of online training workshops and in the month of January, 2022 the school conducted the 25 hours of In-House training for the staff. Thus, all the academic fraternity completed the required 50 hours of workshop each and the certificates were submitted to Regional Office, Patna.
